Yes – “Owner of a Lonely Heart”

While I’m on the subject of Vangelis, it’s worth mentioning that he almost joined prog-rockers Yes in the in the mid 70’s. While this match made in heaven never came to fruition, Vangelis did collaborate with Yes lead vocalist Jon Anderson as Jon and Vangelis for a string of relatively successful albums. Fast forward to the mid 80’s, Yes takes full advantage of rampant nu wave influences and what I suspect to be a similar songwriting atmosphere with Tears for Fears that the Beatles and Beach Boys shared and release “Owner of a Lonely Heart”.
