Perhaps better known for his production work, Rio De Janiero native Eumir Deodato‘s forays into dance music as an artist aren’t without merit. While producing for artists like Kool and the Gang, Bjork, and more recently Lupe Fiasco, Deodato still managed to achieve a modicum of success as a solo dance artist in the 80’s, writing horn-heavy jazz and funk influenced post-disco. I’d like to think this is what Harold Faltermeyer would have sounded like if he had been given better subject matter than Chevy Chase.

Fletch is a classic and so is the music. This was Harold’s real disaster on screen combo/soundtrack
