Tears for Fears – “Change”

Concept art by Chris Foss from a failed 1970’s adaption of Dune

1.5 bar maracas only. 16 bars maracas + xylophone. 16 bars maracas + xylophone + guitar lead. 16 bars verse. 8 bars pre-chorus. 16 bars verse. 8 bars pre-chorus. 16 bars chorus. 16 bars verse. 8 bars pre-chorus. 16 bars verse. 8 bars pre-chorus. 16 bars chorus. 14 bars bridge. 18 bars bridge part b. 8 bars bridge part 3. 16 bars chorus(no vocals). 16 bars to fade out with “Change” vocal, or so you think.

BUT WAIT. There’s 2 minutes left. Back into at least 32 bars of below par bridge, but this time with below par vocals!

Phew okay chorus is back with vocals. That’s catchy as fuck when you drop that guitar lead halfway into each 16 bars of the chorus. Pop songwriting in action. Hey, it meanders a bit, but there’s more than a couple elements of this song guaranteeing success.

Actively searching for more good xylophone music if anyone has suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated.
