Washed Out New Orleans 3/15

Central Georgia native WASHED OUT is hands down one of the premier artists in Chillwave. He is highly hyped(one of the TOP 10 songs of 2009 on Pitchfork) and for good reason. His blurry downbeat tracks have been finding their way onto the playlists of pretty much every person that hears them.

Washed Out – Feel it All Around

Washed Out – Hold Out

Brooklyn duo SMALL BLACK‘s super catchy electro-based jams fit just right under sublime vocals, tinged with reverb and something very dreamy. This is the sound getting your life back on track.

Small Black – Weird Machines

Small Black – Despicable Dogs (Washed Out Remix)

PICTUREPLANE‘s grungy pop-electro goes pretty far in re-imagining a 20 year old acid trip, slingshotting rubber band beats and snippets of dream-scenes off the walls in an endless cycle. Ummm ya, you might as well just listen.

Pictureplane – Goth Star

ISLE OF CRETE are no less than the golden boys of New Orleans electro. The guys are serious about their melodies and their affinity for thoughtful throwback synth jams. They’ve got some solid material and a promising future in the New Orleans live music scene.

Isle of Crete – Post Funk
