South Carolina produces another gem

Coppice Halifax has a terrible name, but they’ve got some solid jams to make up for it. With Washed Out as a reference point, Coppice Halifax is more ambient and more electro, less textured but that’s to be expected with these non-sample based songs. The ambient side definitely hurts Halifax’s catchy potential, but they aren’t going for that. The beats are minimalist, hissy soundscapes. Check it out if you’re chillin’ hardcore. Listen to “Ovals”, “Dancehall” and “Surfaces” which is probably the best track. Listen here. Also check out Coppice mastermind Milieu here.
